mode has an OFDMOrthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing characteristic to it. Wondering if its a variant of HFDVL? Yalek W (talk)

@Yalek W
Thanks for the comment. Not sure if this is HFDVL but might be. I spotted another similar signal which resembles this one. It's even closer to HFDVL I think. Emcbro (talk) 05:35, 1 October 2024 (NZDT)

No problem. They could also be using HFDVL as one of the modes under CISCommonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the former Soviet Republic-OFDMOrthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing-45. But as to anyone knowing how that signal got the eyes of the Russian Military and intelligence is beyond me and needs further proof and research. --> Yalek W (talk)

Found it: This is most certainly: Russian diplomatic 45-tone OFDM. Closely related to CIS-112. But is this the same as CIS OFDM HDR Modem in OFDM-45 mode or should this be considered a different signal as it's transmitted in bursts? Vhf explorer (talk) 07:36, 18 November 2025 (NZDT)
