Heard also in Elizabeth City, NC, USA. Sometimes the initial tone is followed by what sounds like a short burst of data. Occasionally there is a weak reply (or inquiry?) on 173.3125MHz
I have heard this in Clinton, TN, USA many years ago. Sounds the same with timing and all. I wanted to believe it was SCADA related for a nearby water tower. - Whi7eHusky
