Audio Sample

This signal has been observed in summer 2024. It makes odd beeps and occasional frequency sweeps or chirps.

Purpose of this signal is unknown. Since it has been spotted on broadcast frequencies, it may be a broadcast station transmitting a test signal, or a jammer targeting broadcast stations. It may also be data, and the beeps may contain a CWContinuous Wave message but this has not been confirmed.

Frequencies[edit]

So far this signal has been observed on the following frequencies.

17670 kHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz
21695 kHzKiloHertz (kHz) 10^3 Hz

All of these frequencies are used for broadcasting. Most of these are used by Radio Free Asia which suggests that this may be a jammer.
