Talk:HF trading link '120 Hz FMCW idle tone'
Theres no data in this and the 350 hz signals. This signal needs further analysis before we can conclude this is correct. Whoever is baseslessly declaring "HFHigh Frequency (3-30 MHz) trading link" has no idea what a radar sounds like. This will probably be moved to UNID section until we get further confirmation that this is indeed HFHigh Frequency (3-30 MHz) trading link or a CMOR variant, or whatever it is. Yalek W (talk)
Identification as HFHigh Frequency (3-30 MHz) trading was based on FirstToken's video (link in article) in which he shows how this type of signal transmits a CWContinuous Wave ID that belongs to a HFHigh Frequency (3-30 MHz) trading station.
If this is not enough for identification, we can keep this in UNID until more information is available.
There is no data because this transmission is assumed to be in idle state. When it's transmitting data it would be different.
I know how radar signals sound like and as I wrote (and as Firsttoken wrote in his video) this signal is exactly like FMCW radar. The reasons why it was assumed to be HFHigh Frequency (3-30 MHz) trading are explained in the video.
This signal has nothing to do with CMOR radar. CMOR is a pulsed radar (like most meteor radars) not FMCW like this. If this is radar it is another type. Emcbro (talk) 03:07, 9 April 2025 (NZST)
