VIZ was later bought in 1997 by Sippican Corporation, forming the VIZ Meteorological Systems Group of Sippican's Sea-Air Systems Division. In 2004, Sippican itself was purchased by Lockheed Martin Corporation, becoming part of their MS2 division.
